Business Listings Side Panel and Filters FAQ

This FAQ explains how to search, filter, and manage business listings using the side panel and related options, aimed at users who work with many listings across workspaces.

Introduction

This document is for users who need to quickly locate, filter, and manage business listings using the side panel, status filters, and workspace views described in the recording.

FAQ Content

Finding and Viewing Listings

Q1. How do I search for a specific business when I have many listings?
Use the side panel and type the business name into the search field at the top. Your search input appears in that field, and the matching search results are displayed directly in the panel.

Q2. What does the “Show” filter do in the side panel?
The “Show” filter controls whose businesses you are viewing. You can switch between different options such as all listings, only your own listings, listings shared in your workspace, listings from other workspaces, and archived listings.

Q3. What is included when I select “All” under the Show options?
When you select “All,” you will see all available business listings, regardless of who created them, whether they are yours or shared with you.

Q4. What do I see when I select “Mine”?
“Mine” shows only the listings you created yourself. This view is useful when you want to focus strictly on your own listings.

Q5. What does “Shared in My Workspace” show?
“Shared in My Workspace” displays all listings that have been shared within your current workspace with you. It focuses on collaborative listings inside the workspace you are in.

Q6. What is shown under “From Other Workspaces”?
“From Other Workspaces” lists the business listings that users from other workspaces have shared with you. These external shared listings appear there for easy access.

Q7. What is included under “Workspaces” in the Show options?
Under “Workspaces,” you see all listings that are inside your current workspace and were created within that workspace. It is limited to the workspace where you are working at that moment.

Archived and Deleted Listings

Q8. What happens when a listing is moved to “Archived”?
The “Archived” section contains anything that has been removed or deleted. When you delete a listing, it appears in Archived and will be permanently deleted after thirty days if no further action is taken.

Q9. Can I restore a listing that I deleted?
Yes. While a deleted listing is in the Archived section (within the thirty-day period), you can restore it from there so it becomes active again.

Q10. How do I permanently delete a listing immediately?
From the Archived section, you can choose to delete a listing forever, which removes it instantly instead of waiting for the thirty-day automatic deletion.

Status Filters and AI Rejections

Q11. What status options are available to filter listings?
You can filter by multiple statuses: Draft (draft listings), In Review (listings currently under review), Published (live listings), Sold (listings that are sold), Unpublished (previously published but now unpublished), and Rejected (listings rejected by AI).

Q12. Why might a listing appear with the “Rejected” status?
A listing appears as Rejected when the AI has rejected it because the information in the listing is not correct or is incomplete. The status indicates that you need to fix the listing details.

Q13. How do I fix a listing that has been rejected by AI?
Click the “Fix with AI” option on the rejected listing. This redirects you to the Listing Editor, specifically to the section that is incomplete or incorrect, where you can update the information.

Using Filters and Clearing Them

Q14. How do I clear an individual filter I have applied?
Next to each specific filter, there is an option to clear it. Click the “Clear” control associated with that particular filter to remove only that filter’s criteria.

Q15. How can I remove all filters at once?
Use the “Clear All” option to remove every applied filter in one action. This resets the view so you can start fresh with no filters.

Filtering by Broker, Category, and Location

Q16. Can I filter listings by broker?
Yes. Use the Broker filter to select a specific broker. In the example shown, there is only one broker available, but you can filter by that broker’s name.

Q17. How do category filters work?
Use the Categories filter to choose any available category. Within each category, there are subcategories you can select to narrow down the listings further.

Q18. How do I filter listings by location?
Use the Locations filter to search and filter by city, state, or country. Enter the relevant place name to see listings associated with that location.

Listing Type and Financial Filters

Q19. What is the “Listing Types” filter used for?
The Listing Types filter lets you narrow listings based on type. In the current setup, there is only one listing type available, and additional types are indicated as “coming soon.”

Q20. How do I filter listings by bid price?
Use the Bid Price filter to specify a price range or value. The system will then show only those listings that match the bid price criteria you set.

Q21. Can I filter by revenue or cash flow?
Yes. There are dedicated filters for Revenue and Cash Flow, allowing you to limit results to listings that meet your desired revenue or cash flow thresholds.

Q22. Is it possible to filter by number of employees?
Yes. The Employee Count filter lets you filter by staff count or staff numbers so you can find businesses with specific team sizes.

Q23. How do I use the “year founded” filter?
You can enter the year the business was founded in the year founded filter. This allows you to search for businesses based on when they started operating.

Verified and Featured Listings

Q24. What do the “Verified Only” and “Featured” filters do?
The Verified Only filter limits results to listings that are marked as verified. The Featured filter shows listings that are designated as featured.

Saving and Sharing Filtered Views

Q25. How can I save a commonly used filter setup?
After applying any combination of filters, you can bookmark the web address in your browser. This bookmark will preserve the current filter configuration.

Q26. Can I share my filtered view with a colleague?
Yes. Copy and send the bookmarked web address to a colleague. When they open it, they will see exactly the same filtered view of listings that you see.
