3. Interpret signals as research leads

4. Review the outcome and next step

Review confirmed facts and assumptions with your analysts and identify the next research question. When an actual accessible deal exists, use Deal Room for transaction tasks, participants and stage. Keep saved company criteria as research context. This prevents a target list from being mistaken for an approved pipeline, assigned deal ownership or a prediction of investment completion.

4. Review the outcome and next step

Common questions

Short answers to what people ask most about this part of the product.

Does saving a search assign a deal owner?

No. It preserves research criteria. Participants and deal tasks require an accessible deal and appropriate permissions.

When should target research move to Deal Room?

When an actual deal exists and you have access. Saved company searches preserve research criteria; transaction tasks and stages belong to the permitted deal.

Why are the shown controls in English?

These real platform captures use English labels. Italian narration and instructions retain them so you can identify the exact shown controls.

Video transcript

Your analysts need a repeatable way to revisit target companies. Open Companies and define the thesis criteria. Saved searches, where offered, preserve useful research filters. A target list differs from a live acquisition deal. Use the profile to identify the next information to verify, without treating company research as contractual progress. Open Companies and use Filters for industry, country and relevant company characteristics. Keep the criteria close to the actual project rather than selecting every possible sector. Open a profile and compare available facts with your brief. Missing or old information needs confirmation from a current authorised source. A research profile is not automatically a complete financial, ownership or credit record. Open Signals and inspect Buying, Selling and Neutral. Treat them as research leads requiring context. Selling does not establish that the owner has agreed to sell; Buying does not prove financing capacity. Identify the next fact to verify and save a useful search where offered. Contact or transaction work must follow a separate reviewed process, not an assumption based on a signal.
