What it does
Dropbox works with data rooms and with the listing editor.
- Import into a data roomBrowse your Dropbox inside SellAnyBiz and pick files. SellAnyBiz copies them into the data room. They arrive in Other Documents, and the AI then files them into the right folders.
- Export from a data roomChoose files in a data room, and SellAnyBiz copies them into a new folder in your Dropbox, named after the room.
- Documents for a listingIn the listing editor, pick documents from your Dropbox for the AI to read. They are copied into the listing's data room.
Whose connection is it?
The connection is yours. It is saved for you, in the workspace where you connected it.
- Your teammates do not share this authorization. Each person connects their own Dropbox.
- Any member of a workspace can connect. There is no step for an owner or an admin.
- A transfer uses the connection of the person who starts it. Files come from, and go to, that person's own Dropbox.
How to connect
- Sign in to SellAnyBiz and open Settings, then Integrations.
- Find the Dropbox card and select Connect.
- A Dropbox window opens. Sign in to the Dropbox account you want to use.
- Read what SellAnyBiz is asking for, then approve it.
- The window closes. The card now says Connected and shows the email address of the account you chose.
If no window opens, your browser blocked it. Allow pop-ups for sellanybiz.com and select Connect again.
You can also connect from the import and export windows of a data room, and from the listing editor.
What SellAnyBiz asks Dropbox for
SellAnyBiz asks Dropbox for four things.
See the names of your files and folders, so you can browse to the ones you want.
Sent to the provider as
files.metadata.readRead the files you pick, to copy them into the data room.
Sent to the provider as
files.content.readCreate a folder and save files in your Dropbox, when you export.
Sent to the provider as
files.content.writeSee your account's email address, and whether it belongs to a team, so team folders show up when you browse.
Sent to the provider as
account_info.read
SellAnyBiz does not ask to delete your files or to touch your shared links.
Good to know
- An import takes up to 50 files at a time. Each file can be up to 25 MiB.
- An export takes up to 200 files at a time.
- Every export makes a new folder. Nothing you already have is changed or overwritten.
- Files are copied, not linked. Changing a file later on one side does not change the copy on the other.
- Importing needs the right to edit the data room. Exporting needs the right to download from it, which organizers and owners have.
How to disconnect
- Open Settings, then Integrations.
- Find the Dropbox card and select Disconnect.
- Our accessSellAnyBiz deletes the access it holds straight away, and asks Dropbox to end it on its side too.
- Existing filesFiles already copied stay where they are: in the data room, and in your Dropbox.
If something goes wrong
- No Dropbox window opensYour browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for sellanybiz.com, then select Connect again.
- The card says ExpiredDropbox no longer accepts the saved sign-in. Select Reconnect on the card and approve again.
- A file did not importCheck its size: 25 MB at most. Some file types cannot be imported.
Individual and team use
Personal files and Dropbox Business team-space content use the connected member’s root namespace. This is a member authorization, not a team-admin installation or permission to impersonate every team member.
Capabilities and limits
Browses accessible Dropbox files and folders, imports copies into a data room, and exports room files to a new folder.
- The member must already have access to the team content. No Dropbox-API-Select-User or team administration scope is requested.
- Folder imports expand through the transfer flow; file limits still apply. Export creates new content rather than overwriting source files.
- Imports accept up to 50 files per selection and 25 MiB per file; exports accept up to 200 files. Folder expansion, supported formats, room permissions, and storage quota still apply. The separate data-room media limit does not increase this cloud-import limit.
Connecting, renewal, and removal
When enabled in this environment, connect from Settings → Integrations → Your integrations. Team-content integrations also appear under Workspace, but still use your own authorization. An expired or revoked grant needs Reconnect. Disconnect removes your SellAnyBiz connection; it does not transfer or delete copies already imported into a room or listing. Google/Microsoft provider consent may remain because sibling integrations share a client.
