  • What it does

Once Microsoft Teams is connected, you can choose it as the meeting service when you schedule a meeting or start one straight away.

    • A Teams meeting for each meetingSellAnyBiz creates the Teams meeting when the meeting is created, and shows the join link to everyone invited. The meeting lives in your own Microsoft account, and you are its organizer.
    • Changes followIf you change the title or the time in SellAnyBiz, the Teams meeting changes too.
    • Closed until it startsA scheduled meeting keeps its lobby on until the meeting goes live, so only you can walk in early. It opens at the meeting's time, or when you select Start now.
    • Cancelled meetingsCancelling a scheduled meeting in SellAnyBiz deletes it from Teams.

    Whose connection is it?

The connection is yours. It is saved for you, in the workspace where you connected it.

    • Your teammates do not share it. Each person who hosts meetings connects their own Teams account.
    • Any member of a workspace can connect. There is no step for an owner or an admin.
    • A meeting uses the connection of its host, in the workspace where the meeting is created. If you host meetings in two workspaces, connect Microsoft Teams in each.

    How to connect

    1. Sign in to SellAnyBiz and open Settings, then Integrations.
    2. Find the Microsoft Teams card and select Connect.
    3. A Microsoft window opens. Sign in with your work or school account. Microsoft refuses a personal account here.
    4. Read what SellAnyBiz is asking for, then approve it.
    5. The window closes. The card now says Connected and shows the email address of the account you chose.

If no window opens, your browser blocked it. Allow pop-ups for sellanybiz.com and select Connect again.

You can also connect from the Meetings page, under Connect accounts, and while you schedule a meeting.

    What SellAnyBiz asks Microsoft for

SellAnyBiz asks Microsoft for three things.

    • Read and create Teams meetings in your account. SellAnyBiz uses it to create, change and delete the meetings you schedule here.

Sent to the provider as OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite

    • Keep the connection working, so you are not asked to sign in again every hour.

Sent to the provider as offline_access

    • See your basic profile, so the card can show which Microsoft account is connected.

Sent to the provider as User.Read

SellAnyBiz does not ask Microsoft for your recordings or transcripts.

    Good to know

    • A personal Microsoft account cannot host a Teams meeting this way. Microsoft supports it only for work and school accounts.
    • Join signed in. If you open the join link signed out of Teams, or signed in as someone else, Teams treats you as a guest and you wait in the lobby of your own meeting. The meeting card shows which account owns the meeting.
    • Your organisation can force a lobby on every meeting. SellAnyBiz cannot change that.
    • SellAnyBiz cannot hang up a Teams call. Ending the meeting here marks it as ended, and the call itself carries on until everyone has left.

    How to disconnect

    1. Open Settings, then Integrations.
    2. Find the Microsoft Teams card and select Disconnect.
    • Our accessSellAnyBiz deletes the access it holds for Teams straight away.
    • Existing meetingsMeetings already created stay in your Microsoft account. SellAnyBiz can no longer change, open or delete them.
    • New meetingsYou cannot choose Microsoft Teams for a new meeting until you connect again.
    • On Microsoft's sideDisconnecting here does not remove SellAnyBiz from your Microsoft account: Microsoft gives an app no way to hand back its own access. You can remove SellAnyBiz yourself, in the list of apps in your Microsoft account. That also disconnects OneDrive and Microsoft 365 Calendar, in every workspace, because they share one sign-in with Microsoft.

    If something goes wrong

    • No Microsoft window opensYour browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for sellanybiz.com, then select Connect again.
    • The card says ExpiredMicrosoft no longer accepts the saved sign-in. Select Reconnect on the card and approve again.
    • Microsoft refuses your accountTeams needs a work or school account. A personal Microsoft account cannot be used.
    • You wait in the lobby of your own meetingChoose Sign in on the Teams join page, and use the account shown on the meeting card.
