What it does

QuickBooks works with the Financials step of the listing editor.

  • ImportSelect Import from QuickBooks, and SellAnyBiz reads your Profit and Loss for the last three completed financial years.
  • ReviewYou see the imported figures beside the ones already on the listing, and tick the years you want. Nothing on the listing changes until you do.
  • A mark for buyersEach year you bring in carries a small mark buyers can see: From the seller's QuickBooks, with the date. It names no company. A figure you later edit by hand loses its mark.
  • Kept up to dateAbout once a month SellAnyBiz reads the books again. It never changes a figure by itself: if the numbers moved, the editor tells you, and you decide.

The mark says where the numbers came from. It is not an audit, and it is not the listing's Verified badge.

Whose connection is it?

The connection is yours. It is saved for you, in the workspace where you connected it.

  • Your teammates do not share this authorization. Each person connects their own QuickBooks sign-in.
  • Any member of a workspace can connect. There is no step for an owner or an admin.
  • A connection reaches one QuickBooks company: the one you choose when you connect.

What SellAnyBiz asks Intuit for

SellAnyBiz asks Intuit for three things.

  • Confirm who you are with Intuit, and let you choose which company to connect.

Sent to the provider as openid

  • See your email address, so the card can show which QuickBooks account is connected.

Sent to the provider as email

  • Reach your QuickBooks Online accounting data. Intuit offers no read-only version of this permission, so the permission itself allows reading and writing. SellAnyBiz only reads: your company's details, your chart of accounts and your Profit and Loss report.

Sent to the provider as com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting

SellAnyBiz is built so that it cannot write to QuickBooks: the part that talks to QuickBooks can only read. It does not ask for payments or payroll.

How we handle your data: our Privacy Policy

Good to know

  • Figures are placed by the type of each account in QuickBooks, never by its name.
  • A year only gets figures when SellAnyBiz's totals agree with QuickBooks's own totals for that year.
  • The name of your company is shown to you while you review, and never to buyers.
  • To import into a listing, you must be able to edit that listing.

Individual and team use

The user selects one QuickBooks company (realm) during authorization. Imported financial figures follow listing access; this is not a workspace-wide QuickBooks login. Another company requires a new authorization.

Capabilities and limits

Reads company details, account classifications, and Profit and Loss reports for listing financial imports.

  • Intuit’s accounting scope grants read/write capability, but the SellAnyBiz accounting client only issues GET requests.
  • QuickBooks Online is supported, not QuickBooks Desktop. Provider roles, company subscription, and API quotas still apply.

Connecting, renewal, and removal

When enabled in this environment, connect from Settings → Integrations → Your integrations. Team-content integrations also appear under Workspace, but still use your own authorization. An expired or revoked grant needs Reconnect. Disconnect removes your SellAnyBiz connection; it does not transfer or delete copies already imported into a room or listing. Google/Microsoft provider consent may remain because sibling integrations share a client.
